Emergency Fund for ongoing AID Crisis!

IMG_3958.JPG

A crisis is unfolding in Uganda. For years, the country has relied on essential HIV/AIDS medications supplied through U.S. aid. However, due to recent political decisions, U.S. aid has completely stopped, and distribution centers have closed.

Uganda does produce some medication, but its current infrastructure can only cover a small fraction of the country’s needs—leaving millions without life-saving treatment. The limited stock that remains is rapidly depleting, and unless urgent action is taken, thousands of lives, including those of our children at Manna Rescue Home, are at risk.

 The Urgent Need for Action

 Why This Matters

At YES Uganda, we care for HIV-positive children, sponsored individuals, and dedicated staff members who depend on these medications to survive. If supply does not resume soon, many will face life-threatening health declines. There is a possibility that this situation could be overturned in the next 90 days, but there is no certainty. This is why we must act now.

Our Plan

We are raising funds immediately so that when medication becomes available for purchase, we can buy and store as much as we need for our team and children. This will help ensure that:

Geography

1

Children and families in our care are not left vulnerable—ensuring every HIV-positive child and sponsored individual receives uninterrupted, life-saving treatment.

Geography

2

Our staff members, many of whom are caregivers and role models, remain strong and healthy—so they can continue to serve, support, and uplift those who rely on them.

Geography

3

We take proactive steps to secure a stock of essential medication, preventing future crises and ensuring no one in our community faces life-threatening gaps in treatment.
