Ryan’s Story
Ryan is a young boy who has faced significant health and family challenges from an early age. He has got complicated health issues.
 
Ryan’s early health was complicated by oral wounds and dental issues, which affected his overall wellbeing. He continues to experience malnutrition and skin rashes, which are worsened by difficult living conditions and limited access to adequate nutrition.
 
He lives in a very modest home made of mud and straw. The family’s diet is limited, often consisting of porridge for breakfast and lunch, and beans for dinner. These circumstances have made it difficult to maintain consistent health and strength.
Ryan struggles to understand the importance of his medication and, at times, refuses to take it consistently, which affects his treatment routine.
His grandmother has provided land and a place for the family to stay, offering some stability in an otherwise difficult situation. However, Ryan is not currently attending school due to financial constraints.
 
Ryan is now staying at Manna Rescue Home, where he is settling in well and is beginning to enjoy attending school.
