Priscilla’s Story
Priscilla is a young girl currently in Primary 2. She has got complicated health issues, meaning her condition is still being actively managed and not yet fully stabilized. Priscilla was referred through the hospital due to concerns about her health and overall wellbeing.
 
She lives in a large household with several other children, where resources are very limited. The family depends on casual labor and small-scale farming to meet their daily needs, but continues to face significant challenges in providing consistent nutrition and care.
 
Priscilla is mainly cared for by her mother and grandfather. Her grandfather provides important daily support, including food, while her mother works as a casual laborer and struggles to meet the financial and caregiving demands of the household. These challenges have made it difficult to consistently meet Priscilla’s medical, nutritional, and educational needs.
 
In the past, Priscilla experienced a period of disrupted care, during which her medication was not consistently administered, leading to a decline in her health. She has since returned to her family and is now back under their care.
