Miriam is a brave and resilient 16-year-old girl who has faced more than any child should. She was living with her aunt and uncle, but the environment became unsafe—her uncle was often drunk and abusive, putting her in serious danger.
 
To protect her, our Project Coordinator took her in, and Miriam was placed into boarding school, where she is now safe and able to focus on her education.
 
Miriam is slowly healing and beginning to thrive in a stable environment. With support through the YES Uganda sponsorship program, she can continue her education and build a future full of hope and safety.
