Hallie, born in 2010, is a bright and resilient 15-year-old who has experienced deep loss. Her mother recently passed away, and her father is unknown. After her mother’s death, Hallie was left in the care of her grandmother, while her younger brother was collected by his father.
 
Hallie now lives in a small, overcrowded home with her grandmother, who looks after several grandchildren despite limited resources. The house is in a dilapidated state, making daily life a challenge for the family.
 
Now part of the YES Uganda program, Hallie is receiving the care and support she needs to stay in school and build a more secure future. Her courage, along with the support she receives, is helping her move forward with hope.
