The rains have started!

I thank God because the rains have now started. The timing is perfect because the seeds and equipment for 120 families have also arrived. The Welthungerhilfe project is a food and agriculture project initiated by a German Non-Governmental Organization that has partnered with us. They are working to alleviate the problems of our very poor families by helping them get stronger and become more self-sufficient through agriculture. Can anyone imagine digging one or two acres of land with a hand hoe? These are hard working people. The new equipment, training, tools and seeds being provided are hoped to have a big impact on these families.

Bags of farming supplies waiting to be distributed out of our office.

More farming equipment.

Even the government administrators are noticing what we are doing. The lady in this picture is the secretary of production in the district. She was happy to learn about what YES Uganda and Welthungerhilfe are doing together.

Carol shows the Secretary of Production of Kabarole District the supplies and shares what work is being done to support families in need.
