We are saddened to share that on the morning of the 21st of January 2013 our young man Patrick Magume has died. He is the boy we wrote about with the sad face and later with a smile. We have been working so hard to save him. We gave him anything he wanted to eat but he was just too far along in his illness. This morning he asked for a drink and the Shamba man got it. He was holding him and helping him with it when Patrick said—my eyes are leaving—and then died. He died knowing we loved him and cared.
