Back to School…

…After a two year hiatus!  On Monday, January 10, students excitedly returned to school!!  The government advanced every student to the next grade up even though some have only had 3 months in the grade they left. Thankfully, we were able to tutor over 200 students during this break in our conference room!

Meet Musiime Timothy.  We are so proud of this young man.  He lived for many years at Manna Rescue Home after losing both parents and having no relatives who wanted to care for him. When he finished primary 7 we sent him to a boarding secondary school. There he finished all 6 years and did quite well.  He has now been accepted at the Mountains of the Moon University where he is studying mass communication and computer science.  Despite all his struggles, he pressed on and didn’t give up.  He is an inspiration to all our kids who have these same struggles.

Lastly, I’d like to thank everyone who made it possible for us to bless 150 families this past Christmas with a gift that consisted of salt, beans, g-nuts, rice, cooking oil, posho, sugar, and some cash to buy meat for their Christmas dinner.

Hoping everyone has a safe and happy start to this new year,

Carol
