Amaani Ga Rwenzori.
Amaani Ga Rwenzori (AgR) was incorporated in October 2019 as a company limited by guarantee in Uganda. It is a non-profit organization, born out of a skills development project (Amaani Rwenzori), which was jointly developed and implemented by; Youth Encouragement Services (YES), a local NGO, and Welthungerhilfe (WHH), a German organization; under a Memorandum of understanding from 2016 until April 2020.

“Helping youth help themselves” Amaani Ga Rwenzori is dedicated to empowering youth socially, economically, spiritually, and physically; to prepare them to confront and move ahead of the most pressing problems in their communities.
We believe that skilling the vulnerable Youth should create avenues for self-employment and self-reliance of the individual(s) who partake in it.

The Core Values of the Vocational Center are: Selflessness, Dedication, Responsibility, Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity.
Since its establishment in 2016, the project constructed a spacious campus, trained and awarded a Worker’s PAS certificate from the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT), to over 400 youth in thirteen trades. The project collaborated with vibrant local small and medium enterprises to offer short-term (8 months) on-job training, complemented with life skills and entrepreneurship education delivered at the campus.

What services are provided?
- Facilities: Amaani Ga Rwenzori is gated, secure campus includes a classroom, an administrative block, a pottery and Ceramic department, a catering and baking department, a Tailoring and Embroidery department, a Computer department, a Salon and fashion beauty department, a strong solar system and a basketball court.
- Education: We employ the best qualified trainers for youth skilling to enable our students get higher chances to compete for the best opportunities.
- Medical Care: All the students can easily access first Aid at the vocational Center and the campus is neighboring the best health facilities in the region including a Referral hospital.
- Safe Environment: AgR employs a staff of security officers, has a spacious compound and a quiet neighbourhood to give students the best environment to acquire life-long skills.
The Vocational Center is audited annually, both externally by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education Department, and internally by an independent auditor.
How do I get involved?
Vocational Center funding is vital to the mission of skilling the vulnerable Youth and helping the Youth live dignified, employable, fulfilling, and productive lives. This program aims at increasing the employability of youth through better quality of instruction and learning in skills development and by making it more responsive to labour market needs.
